This Turkish rug was woven in Central Anatolia during the middle of the 20th Century.
It features a yellow and purple latch hooked central medallion flanked by light green and yellow devices reminiscent of hanging lanterns. all on a lively red field. The intoxicating purple tones are further highlighted in the cornices which each feature an ewer among other symbols.
In excellent condition for its age. It features a loose but heavy handle of plush wool.
